
Rebecca "Becky" Smith lives in Asheville, NC and is a member of the Church of the Redeemer, Episcopal (Woodfin) where she serves as organist and choir director with her husband, William "Bill" Smith. She has a BA in Music Education from Columbia College (Columbia, SC), an MA in "Church and Community" with an added concentration in "Church Music Education from Scarritt College (Nashville, TN), and an MDiv from Candler School of Theology (Emory University, Atlanta, GA). Becky has served in past years in various ministries as a United Methodist minister (South Carolina), hospital chaplain (various hospitals in South Carolina), and organist/choir director (South Carolina and North Carolina). She was recently elected (beginning Jan., 2010) as president of Redeemer's Episcopal Church Women (ECW); and enjoys composing/arranging music, quilling, reading, and baking break.
Becky says, "I am excited about exploring, with all of you, our possibilities in our diocese for worship, study, service, and fellowship as we grow together in service to God, the WNC Episcopal diocese, the church universal, our community, and the world."
